History
The Ferney Tennis Club was founded in 1976.
In 1980, it had 5 outdoor courts and the tennis school was created by Nicole Dufour.
From 1980 to 1985 the club continued its development to become the first in the department in number of members with the construction of a clubhouse then adjoining the swimming pool, the involvement of teams in departmental and regional championships with Ain champion titles at stake, and the organization of official FFT tournaments.
The first hall opened in the early 1990s, and the polymatch surface chosen offered excellent playing quality and comfort. The hiring of an instructor gave the tennis school a new lease of life.

The outdoor courts were then renovated, with three made of porous concrete and two made of synthetic turf, one of which was covered. A new clubhouse was built following the demolition of the old one, which disappeared during the restructuring of the swimming pool.
In 2013, two new resin surfaces were installed in the hall to replace the polymatch (courts 1 and 2).
In 2017, two courts were renovated with artificial clay and covered with an inflatable structure, bringing the number of covered courts to five.
Twelve presidents have led the club: Claude Haas, André Malin, Pierre Robert, Michel Hansroul, Yves Le Borgne, Vincent Souchaud, Mario Dalmolin, Susann Tamisier, Christian Besacier, Thomas Sarcia, Julien Moutsinga and Jean-Louis Guiderdoni today.
Committee 2024/2025
Our club is a non-profit organization governed by the French law of 1901 and managed by a committee of members elected by the General Assembly for a three-year term. We are all at your service and work hard to run our club in the best possible way, but remember that we are volunteers and we run the club out of passion.
