A word from the President
Dear Friends,
It is with great pleasure that we address you to inaugurate this new 2025/2026 season, where we will consolidate the tremendous progress made together last year! Our infrastructure has been considerably renovated as you have seen, we have once again passed the 500 member mark and our finances are healthy. Our teaching team has also been strengthened with an assistant instructor now certified and the educational offer has been completely renewed (tennis school, courses etc.). Finally, the bond of trust with our supervisory authorities (FFT and Town Hall) has been strengthened and we are working together for the future of the TCFV.

This sporting year also promises to be very motivating given the challenges that await us. We will continue to improve our infrastructure and refurbish the synthetic clay courts for outdoor use and move forward with our partners on the renovation of our lighting, which will be less energy-intensive, more environmentally friendly and also of better quality. Given the great success of the courses, tennis school and adult group lessons, we will try to further improve our offer and we hope to recruit several additional assistant instructors to offer more slots and even better supervision. Finally, with more than 130 additional members in one year, we will have to be attentive to the availability of our courts for all our members.
Finally, we will continue our reflection together on the club project:
-
The tennis school must remain the cornerstone of our club, and this year, with more than 260 children enrolled, we broke a record. We are making every effort to offer a place to all children aged 5 to 18 who want to join us. The club has taken back control of activities that were beyond its control (courses, group lessons, membership requirements), and we will resolutely continue on this path with the support of our partners. The interests of our club, and therefore those of its members, must now take precedence.
-
Tennis, both competitive (teams, internal tournaments, TMC, Ain individual championship) and recreational, will continue to be played in a friendly and respectful manner. Activities have evolved into different but fun and friendly formats.

-
Our club is firmly rooted in the Gex region while remaining very open to the world. This is a wealth that we must highlight and which commits us: new agreement with the town hall, promotion of tennis in schools, participation in community events, provision of an outdoor court to Ferney residents, strengthening ties with international Geneva, etc.
There's still work to be done, and we need all of you to keep this great momentum going. In the meantime, everyone, grab your tennis rackets and we wish you a wonderful season.
Sportingly,
Jean-Louis
President TCFV
